Jay & Nigel - Red Lion Hotel Henley 10 September 2011

It’s always brilliant doing a wedding of someone you know in a place you really love... and they call this work! I was overjoyed when Jay asked me to photograph her special day in the delights of Henley and this day did not fail to deliver. The beautiful Red Lion Hotel was the venue and one that I have covered before. With a backdrop of the River Thames and a warm fine day everything was set, apart from the odd rain shower that is... Jay arrived in a very cool Morris Minor convertible and moved her girlfriends to tears with a stunning creation and entrance. With moments to spare the ceremony was underway and finished with singing guitarists!!  We escaped in the car for a mini tour of Henley and parked up near the river with enough time to grab a few shots prior to an obligatory shower. The reception was in full swing and once the weather cleared we stopped the traffic on Henley Bridge for some fun shots with the amazing Saxophonist Mike Taylor. Weddings have plenty of surprises and this one had Yuri Geller popping in to bend a few spoons and create mayhem... So a top day with a top couple.
