Jenny & Daniel - Our Lady Of Peace Church Burnham & The Olde Bell Hurley 03 September 2010

A beautiful late summer’s day with blue skies and big white fluffy clouds...ideal for a wedding! I met Daniel at the Church and the boys were looking sharp and on top form. Then the bridesmaids turned up looking even better until Jenny arrived and completely stole the show! With fantastic light in the church the bride made a grand entrance and many great images were captured. With so many guests keen to congratulate the newlyweds afterwards I blended into the background and let the elation unfold.

Onto the lovely Olde Bell in Hurley, my most popular venue. As a preferred photographer for the venue its great to have experience of this former coaching inn. But what amazes me is how different every wedding is here. Jenny and Daniel had opted for the Malthouse with its lovely garden but the key was the Marquee. I have to congratulate them on their creative input as this was one of the most impressive marquee decorations I have seen!! As the afternoon hear bore down the party was in full swing. The newlyweds and I disappeared to the copse behind the inn for some time and space , a perfect ending.

Helen & Thanos - St John Hotel Mykonos Greece 01 September 2010

I am been lucky enough to cover a few overseas weddings. These have included a castle in Jersey, a sugar cane plantation in South Africa and in the mountains of Mallorca. So when the opportunity came to cover a friend’s wedding in Mykonos I jumped at the chance. It’s one of the most cosmopolitan islands in Greece and Mykonos Town is the jewel in the crown with its narrow white washed buildings and the famous windmills. The St John hotel is located in an ideal location overlooking the sea and sunset. Helen was in great spirits during the day and the time soon came to get ready. With a warm summer’s day and clear blue skies everything was set for the early evening ceremony to take place. The guests arrived early and in a holiday mood and a lovely ceremony followed. We quickly made our way down to the beachside bar to start the drinks reception for sunset. Speeches and the wedding breakfast were very upbeat due to the warm night followed by plenty of Greek dancing  and Chinese Lanterns !!
