Zoe & Stewart - St Catherine's Church Sindlesham & Beaumont House Old Windsor 14 May 2011

Zoe and Stewart's day was a dream. Everything just flowed perfectly and I felt like one of the guests. With another great warm and sunny day there were plenty of nerves but the Bride arrived on time for a beautiful ceremony. With a big sense of relief the newlyweds exited the church to a fanfare of celebration, happy snappers and a ton of confetti. Soon they were whisked away to the delights of Old Windsor and Beaumont House. It's a magnificent venue with landscaped gardens and a great view of the planes taking off from Heathrow ( Zoe was plane spotting as she works for an airline!)

I was completely blown away as I entered the wedding breakfast room, a fine example of ethereal beauty. Soon the guests were seated and after dinner a major surprise. The singing waiters are a great party piece for any wedding and took the roof of the place with half an hour of some tenor singing.  Just enough time then for a quick first dance before the party....

Hannah & Karl - Stoke Park, Stoke Poges 30 April 2011

Another glorious April Saturday just perfect for a wedding! As I drove to the venue it felt like a true summer’s day and I knew this was going to be fantastic as Hannah and Karl are a great couple and had chosen Stoke Park for their special day. I have covered weddings here before and always on hot sunny days too. Hannah and the girls looked stunning as I arrived and the chaps looked pretty good also in such regal settings. I knew if would be impossible not to capture some moving ceremony shots as Hannah entered and met Carl. With a few tears the ceremony commenced and there were plenty of smiles along the way. With a beautifully lit room I was able to use my latest purchase to maximum effect. My new 85mm portrait lens is fresh out of the box for this wedding season and some of the shots are taking my photography into a completely new creative direction.

Quite soon we were all celebrating on the terrace and I was able to whisk the newlyweds away for some private shots on the bridge. With a healthy breeze in the air this allowed for some quite dramatic shots. Once back at the reception the party mood had kicked in and I just floated with the atmosphere to capture candid and natural shots. Throughout the wedding breakfast I gelled with many of the guests and felt as if I was attending a friends wedding so laughed and joked with many! This allowed for some zany photographic moments. With some time prior to the evening music and dance I used the early evening light to capture some portrait shots of many guests and Hannah. The couple made some classy moves on the dance floor and I exited just as the tempo took off...
