An action packed and fun filled wedding day with Clare and Ben. Plenty of cheers, tears, laughter, rain and blazing sun too!! Met Clare and the girls for the preparation shots then swiftly Clare and here father were on their way in a quite amazing horse and carriage. Part of the brief was to catch them enroute to the venue, whilst dodging traffic, not getting run over but managed it just! Arrived at the venue in the nick of time with ten minutes to spare. Ben and the chaps were looking a little nervous but perhaps that was due to the rain we had just had. As Claire arrived in dramatic fashion it stayed dry and the paparazzi were on cue to capture the moment, in fact I had to fight to get some images!! With a lovely ceremony venue located by a stream a beaming bride entered to begin the formal part. A few tears and laughter made for a wonderful ceremony.
We exited into the main building and soon headed out to grab the formal shots whilst dry. With dramatic clouds billowing in the distance we quickly did these overlooking a lake. Back outside the venue we were just finishing as a summer thunderstorm caught us and the whole wedding party ran fir cover. It was like being in the tropics with swirling wind!! The atmosphere was still great especially as I knew quite a few guests from a previous wedding covered and they know how to party. With lovely cuisine and hearty speeches the scene was set for the evening events. Still time to have a few private shots with Mr and Mrs prior to the dance.
