A beautiful sunny and warm day was in store for Kerry and Doug’s wedding. This was a very special one for me to cover as I have known them both for many years plus most of the guests too! I joined Kerry and the girls for the all important preparation shots and found them to be in great spirits so plenty of fun and laughter.. A quick dash to the beautiful village of Frieth and the place to be.. In The Yew Tree pub with the chaps! With a glorious day everyone was outside basking in the sun. In fact I have never seen some of the guys look quite so dapper ( can only happen at weddings!) Doug and the guys were lucky to be there as Scotts stunning Lancia was playing up that morning...
Soon it was time to be at the local church and with all the guests seated. Kerry and her proud father arrived in a Beauford convertible and make a beautiful entrance to the ceremony. This was a wonderful occasion with hearty singing and lovely to capture some beautiful moments. The newlyweds exited into the sunshine and were soon whisked away to the reception. Old Luxters Barn is ideal for wedding photography with so many options and a great template to create a storybook of fun and natural images. Having grown up very close to here it was a joy to spend the day with many friends outdoors taking candid photography.
I grabbed the lovely couple and we headed across the road into the woods for some private shots. That classic quote “ I hate having my picture taken” fell on deaf ears and I just let them be – its the best way sometimes. Back for dinner, some hilarious speeches and some even funnier dance moves by the guests after the first dance. I left fulfilled..
