A winter wonderland with festive cheer is the best way to describe Kirsty and Charlie’s wedding day. With a ton of snow on the ground and plenty forecast I gingerly drove to The bride’s house to catch the preparation in full flow! Then swiftly onto the Olde Bell Hotel where the boys where having a quick beverage or two before heading over to the Church. With the amazing conditions the scene was set for an impressive entrance by Kirsty. On cue the snow came down as she arrived looking a beauty with a glorious green cape. Magical moments followed throughout the ceremony. The newlyweds exited to be greeted by the guests and there was no rush to head off so some lovely informal shots were captured.
On arrival at the Olde Bell we made our way to the Malt House for the drinks reception. With the light fading fast and the temperatures plummeting we headed outdoors for the formal shots. Some hilarious moments as both Charlie and myself were soon attacked by a bombardment of snowballs. Still all good fun!. I took the couple across to the copse behind the former coaching inn for some of the best couple shots ever taken. With another fresh bout of snow falling we just maximised the time until my hands froze....
Onto the invitingly warm Tithe Barn for the wedding breakfast. There was a surprise for the guests in store. Kirsty and Charlie had booked “ the Singing Waiters”. I have seen these a few times and they are just brilliant and provide an unbelievable lift to this part of the day. Dressed the same as the regular waiters they did an impromptu opera performance that shocked and surprised everyone...so, so good. After some hearty speeches, the next surprise was for Kirtsy to be met by every man with a red rose..so romantic! Lastly a first dance to get the party started... Quite a day really.
