Annaliese & Andrew - St Edwards Church and The Harte & Garter Hotel Windsor 19 November 2011

A gorgeous deep blue sky and golden light engulfed us for this wonderful day with Annaliese and Andrew. Windsor was the setting for this magical day and back to where it all started for me as I covered my first ever wedding here many moons ago! Some brief bridal preparation images before meeting Andrew at the Two Brewers. Its a brilliant, quirky pub by the entrance to the Long Walk and was ideal to capture the storybook of images I had in mind; lots of energy and chatter. Soon we made our way out and began the walk to the church, so lovely to have the time to discover areas of Windsor I have never seen before.
On arrival at the church guests were soon streaming in and I eagerly awaited the bride. It took a while but Anna did come! A glorious entrance and the classic ceremony followed. With some astonishing light available there was  a myriad of visions to capture. The newlyweds exited to a sunburst and hearty congratulations prior to our short hop to the Long Walk ( luckily I caught a ride!). Its dramatic and poignant for private shots but you must be quick due to its location. Onto the reception venue having the most envious location opposite the castle. Beautiful rooms with high ceilings so ideal for candid images and fun with plenty of children. Annaliese and Andrew very kindly sat me with the guests for the wedding breakfast. All the chaps were camera enthusiasts so we sat and talked like a bunch of train spotters! Soon the speeches came with great humour and warmth. As I left the newly installed Xmas tree outside the castle was sparkling back at us...

Kathryn & Matthew - St Edmunds Church Abingdon & Caswell House Brize Norton 29 October 2011

Another great October Saturday with fine weather, just what we were looking for on Kathryn and Matthew’s big day. Lady Luck was shining on us as I drove to Abingdon with a beautiful deep blue sky. Plenty of activity with a houseful of bridesmaids and a glowing bride! Soon it was time to get over to the church and St Edmunds us one I have covered on a few occasions and it allows for expansive photography partly aided by a brilliant vicar. The bride and father arrived in a classic car and made a wonderful entrance to this lovely ceremony that was heartfelt but with a some great humour. Everyone exited and soon the newlyweds were covered in what can only be described as a confetti storm!!

Onto Caswell House, simply an amazing barn on a working farm in Oxfordshire. This is a new one for me but what a glorious set up, so many options for wedding photography. The reception was in full flow as I arrived with a harpist using the acoustics of the barn to full effect. With champagne and oysters providing a heady mix the tempo of the day started to rise. This was a convenient time to escape with Kathryn and Matt for a few private shots subtlety using the country backdrop. The wedding breakfast had a Halloween theme so plenty of tricks to present themselves as the day progressed! A great party crowd loved this and also some riveting speeches to bring the house down. Just time for a big group shot and cake cutting to leave another super day complete.
