Rebecca & Joe - Burnham Beeches Hotel 06 August 2011

Dry and sunny for Rebecca and Joe’s big day in leafy Buckinghamshire. Burnham Beeches Hotel is a venue I have covered before and is situated in a stunning location with so many options for wedding photography. The classic architecture, great lighting and magnificent grounds boded well for natural photography.

I met The Bride and Bridesmaids in one of the suites and immediately felt the anticipation and energy you come to expect.  Having blended into the background as the final preparations were made the end result was a stunning visual effect and everyone full of joy and ready to go. Joe was downstairs and I think quite keen to get started ! The ceremony room was lit perfectly for a quite dramatic entrance and the greatness that followed. It was both an emotional and lighthearted ceremony and this allowed for some beautiful images. I love the shots as the newlyweds exited...

With a warm day and cloud cover the reception shots were relaxed, candid and fun. The atmosphere remained the same all the way through and into some brilliant and hilarious speeches. A fine and satisfying day...

Gemma & Daniel - Notley Tythe Barn 01 August 2011

Scorcher of a day for Gemma and Dan’s big day. August can be a bit damp at times but this was going to be burning heat and good times! I met Gemma at her place for some bridal preparation shots, suffice to say we had the front door wide open to get some air in! Lovely images captured with incredible light. Soon I was making the short journey to the venue. Notley Tythe Barn is an amazing place for wedding photography with so many options to capture natural images. This proved to be the case for the ceremony with the Bride’s long walk entrance with her father to meet the Groom. I was able to manoeuvre slightly so many angles covered.

We all exited to the great outdoors for plenty of cheers and congratulations and a string quartet. With the reception in full flow, the newlyweds and I crept off in the wedding cars. The barn is located on a beautiful farm with incredible vistas and big sky. This only took 10 – 15 minutes but worked to great effect. Back at the barn it was time for eating, drinking, confetti and plenty of speeches... A real feel good factor ensued throughout this lovely day with a few zany moments thrown in for good measure!
