Louisa & Rob - St Chad's Church, The Mytton & Mermaid Hotel Shrewsbury 16 April 2011

Another April wedding and another beautiful spring day with blue skies and warm weather...incredible! I was relishing Louisa and Rob’s wedding day for so many reasons. Some former work colleagues were going to be attending, my first wedding in Shrewsbury and a unique circular church to name a few.. With this in mind I awoke early and made the trip up and met Rob and the chaps for 10am for a relaxed catch up and some informal moments. Then swiftly onto the beautiful church to capture it’s finest glory in quiet. Luckily Louisa lives a stone’s throw away so I headed over for the bridal preparations. The flat was bathed in sunshine and it was impossible not to capture a ton of great images with a lively bride and four bridesmaids!! With two cameras and five lenses I set to work...

Louisa and the girls made quite a vision as they exited and made their way to the ceremony and the entrance was quite unbelievable. The vicar’s brief was ideal and allowed for discreet movement throughout the wonderful ceremony. I was able to get up into the gallery and take a majestic image on the fisheye lens amongst others. We exited to great congratulations and whilst the guests headed to the reception venue, the newlyweds and I headed to Attingham Park for some private shots. Its a stunning National Trust location and we were allowed to have a couple of minutes inside. I asked Louisa and Rob to position themselves on the stairs and the resulting image was quite extraordinary!

Swiftly onto the venue for confetti and a lovely reception. The Mytton and Mermaid Hotel Its an ideal location for wedding photography with the river Severn and bridge. This provides so many options and we soon entered for the wedding breakfast. Some great speeches followed then onto the dancing and a Ceilidh..a very lively finish to an amazing day!

Louisa & Rob’s Thoughts

We were thrilled with how the photos went and have had so many great comments from our guests about how professional and slick you are and how personable and fun you were to work with. People were astounded at how easy it all was at our wedding and we can’t thank you enough for your supreme effort ”

Elizabeth & Richard - St Peters Church Marlow & The Monks Barn Hurley 09 April 2011

What a scorcher of a day for Liz and Rick’s big day! Deep blue sky and just a touch of a breeze to get us started. The atmosphere just flowed superbly all day right from meeting the beaming bride prior to the wedding. Added to this I had just bought a new lens that given my photography a whole new perspective. I should hope so its cost me a small fortune ! The 85mm lens with a wide aperture of f1.2 allows for some really creative options and I probably shot half the wedding on this one but the results are astonishing. From the very beginning these are some of the best bridal preparation shots I have taken.

As I arrived at the beautiful St Peters Church the guests were outside basking in the sun ready for a lovely ceremony. They were not disappointed with the arrival of the bride in majestic style. Afterwards we headed outdoors for many heartfelt congratulations. With the reception venue closely I suggested the newlyweds should have a few shots on Marlow bridge so duly stopped the traffic!! I managed to squeeze of a dozen shots and we jumped out of the way. Its was then onwards to the Monks Barn in Hurley. It's a beautiful grade II listed medieval barn that’s perfect for a wedding reception. With the feel of a summer garden party the reception was superb. All the men were wearing an assortment of hats to add some alternative flavour for the day. Liz and Rick had worked incredibly hard to decorate the inside in dramatic fashion with some unbelievable banners. The day progressed with great speeches, wine and song and I departed just as things were getting quite lively!
