An epic day was had with Helen and Tom for their wedding day. Its started quite grey and overcast but nothing was going to dampen the spirits as I arrived to meet Helen and a very lively household. Even though I allowed plenty of time this quickly disappeared and I raced to the church which was already packed. Tom and the boys looked first class in top hat and tails and a great atmosphere was in place. The bride to be arrived soon afterwards and made a stunning entrance. With a lovely vicar comfortable with my style of photography, I was able to quietly move around a little and capture some beautiful moments at this special time.
The newlyweds exited into an excited crowd and it remained boisterous until I used by powers of persuasion to move everyone on! Onto the lovely venue for the wedding reception. Fallowfields is a super luxury country hotel with extensive grounds and the benefit of an additional marquee for larger weddings. With the guests enjoying the reception I whisked Helen and Tom away for a breather. They came up with some great ideas for photos and the final results were quite stunning.... Everyone was having such a lovely time that we soon made our way into the wedding breakfast for some magical speeches. The tempo of the day continued to increase and by the time the cake was cut a lively party was ready to explode!

Joanne & Joe - Danesfield House Hotel & Spa Marlow 19 September 2010
I had met the lovely Joanne and Joe at a previous wedding and they really liked my style and approach to photography. So cometh the day its was all set for a great wedding experience. It just so happens Joe is a wedding photographer himself so no pressure then!! Danesfield House is a local venue to me and one that I have photographed at before. It sits in a unique location with enviable view of the Chiltern Hills and the River Thames. With a dry and warm day everyone was excited and I went off with the boys to get some fun shots first. Joanne and the girls all looked amazing and we soon made our way to the ceremony. This was to take placing in the stunning Versailles room. With an abundance of natural light and a long entrance the pageboys and pagegirls made a captivating entrance followed by the bridesmaids. Naturally they were outdone by the bride and proud father!
Afterwards we all exited onto the terrace for congratulations and the the drink reception. The newly weds and I escaped to achieve some lovely private moments. The Versailles room was swiftly made into a gorgeous wedding breakfast room and once dining had been completed the speeches began. Some poignant moment plus the obligatory drubbing of the groom by the “deadly duo” of best men. We even managed a few Chinese lanterns but alas the wind became too strong so onwards and forward with the party into the night...
