Jessica & James - Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons Oxfordshire 11 December 2011

December finally arrived with a grey and cloudy day but I knew today have something special as soon as I met Jessica and the family for the bridal preparations. Winter weddings can be so much fun especially with plenty of festive cheer near to Christmas as everyone is excited and some beautiful children to chase around all day! Jess was quite chilled and everything was set as we headed for the coolest of venues; Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. Its a great place for wedding photography and one that I have covered before. Added to this the cuisine is pretty amazing.
Jess arrived for the small intimate ceremony and look spectacular, plenty of tears flowed for this joyous occasion. So lovely to see the newlyweds signing the register in front of the Christmas tree... Time to head outdoors briefly for a few drinks and family shots prior to a sumptuous wedding breakfast. With plenty of time prior to speeches Jess, James and I escaped for literally ten minutes to capture some private moments. These worked to maximum effect and I loved the end results, you can feel the emotion. Onto the speeches, fun and games. Always a great time to catch candid images. I left the wedding party knowing we had witnessed a memorable day..

Liz and Lee - Danesfield House Marlow 03 December 2011

December seems to have come around so quickly but luckily the sunshine and blue skies are still here! A beautiful day in the majestic surroundings of Danesfield House near Marlow and a venue that I have covered on numerous occasions. I met Liz in one of the suites overlooking the salubrious grounds and found the girls in very high spirits. Pretty soon it was time to head downstairs and into the Churchill Suite that’s ideal for a smaller ceremony. I could feel the nervous energy as Liz and here proud father made a stunning entrance and bowled everyone over. Plenty of laughter, high emotion and the odd tear followed with incredible light beaming in at this special time. The newlyweds exited into the amazing great hall for drinks prior to a brief outdoor stint for some family shots. We also managed some lovely intimate shots underneath the clock tower.
By the time we joined the guests the party was in full flow and soon made our way in to the Versailles Suite for the wedding breakfast. Its such a beautiful room with high ceilings, plenty of mirrors and lots of lights; a photographers dream. Added to this there was an enormous Xmas tree to add to the feel. With some great people, gorgeous children I spent the time capturing candid and natural shots. Speech time came and added to the dynamic flow of the day.  All too soon it was time for the night time activity Liz and Lee hitting the floor for the first dance. I slipped off into a starry night...
